May's Activities

May 2 - Schoolwork Packets go home

May 3 - 5th grade Pizza Party at 1:30 p.m. in the auditorium

May 4 - Multicultural Festival, SnoBalls and Popcorn Day

May 7-11 - Teacher Appreciation Week

May 10 - 5th grade textbooks are due

May 11 - All library books are due

May 14 - Dare Graduation, 3rd and 4th grade textbooks are due

May 15 - 5th Grade Day and 2nd grade textbooks are due

May 16 - Popsicle with the Principal and 5th Grade Recognition Day at 10:00 a.m. at Belfair Baptist Church (across from the school)

May 17 - Montessori 2nd-4th grade textbooks are due and PTO Perfect Attendance Bike Drawings (1 boy and 1 girl)

May 18 - Kindergarten Recoginiton at 9:30 a.m. in the school's auditorium, release date for iLEAP/LEAP scores after 10:00 a.m., and class parties at 2:00 p.m.

May 21 - 23 - Early Dismissal at 12:30 p.m.

May 21 - Awards Day for traditional students in grades 1st-4th at 9:30 a.m. in the school's auditorium

May 23 - Last Day of school and 4th Nine Weeks Report Cards go home

Our Program


Belfair ElementaryBelfair Montessori Magnet Elementary School has two educational programs. There is a traditional program (Grades K-5) and a Montessori program. (3 years- 5th grade)

Our Program

Belfair Montessori Magnet Elementary School offers a quality education to each of its 300+ students. Whether Montessori or traditional, Belfair is committed to having each child become a successful citizen. We offer a caring staff and faculty who see each child as an individual and works to have him/her reach their full potential. In addition to our core curriculum, we also offer each student the following ancillary classes: P.E., library, art, music, and computer lab. In addition to these quality programs we offer counseling, exceptional student services, READ 180, Exploring Math, reading and math coaches, tutoring, extended day, and ICARE.

Belfair Montessori Magnet Elementary School opened in 1950 as a neighborhood school. In 1985, Belfair became a Visual and Performing Arts/ Extended Day Academy. The Montessori program replaced the academy in 1996, and presently has ten Montessori classes.
